The Sibleys are Laura Sibley, guitar and vocals, James Sibley, drums and vocals, Thom Merrick, bass and vocals. The band began seven years ago with Laura Sibley playing guitar and James Sibley on bass; the brother and sister group was interested in the sounds of the early country classics. They soon after began writing their own material that had a decidedly different sound and direction. Their music developed over time into a contemporary sound that still shows it's origins in the spare and direct country recordings they so admire. James Sibley switched over the drums after Thom Merrick joined the group a year and a half ago. The group currently resides in the Wonder Valley area of the Mojave Desert.
